Attentional Over-Weighting in Gains, Attentional Under-Weighting in Losses
Recent work has shown that attention alters the construction and comparison of values during decision-making. Here we study how attention alters the choice process when options involve losses. Using an eye-tracking experiment with binary choices between lotteries, we find that attentional biases may flip in choices between losses compared to choices between gains.
